x^2+ 7x +12 = x^2 +3x +2
4x =-10
x= -2 1/2

Multiply the factors on both sides to get polynomial equations
(x+3)(x+4)=(x+1)(x+2) is
x^2+7x+12=x^2+3x+2
Now subtract x^2 (x squared) from both sides:
7x+12=3x+2
Subtract 3x from both sides:
4x+12=2
Subtract 12 from both sides:
4x=-10
Divide both sides by 4
x= -10/4 = -5/2 = -2.5
These peple saying that it isn't possible are wrong. If x=-2.5, then you have:
(-2.5+3)(-2.5+4)=(-2.5+1)(-2.5+2)
(.5)(1.5)=(-1.5)(-.5) -a negative times a negative=positive
.75=.75

are u confident that isn't any longer 4x + 8 + 3x = x-6? cuz all ur x's upload as a lot as 0...and 0 does no longer = -14......... 4x - 3x - 1x = 0..? if it became 4x + 8 + 3x = x -6 4x + 3 x - 1x = -6 -8 6x = -14 x = -7/3

it might be this but f.y.i i'm not sure.
x squared+4x+3x+12=x squared+2x+x+2
now you have to move like terms together which means all the xs has to be on one side but mind you anytime a number of letter crosses the equal sign its value changes. meaning positive becomes negative and negative becomes positive.
x squared-xsquared+4x+3x-2x-x=2-12
7x=-10
divide both sides by 7
x=-10/4
x=-2 1/2

well after doing the work... the answer is simply -2.5
I'm sure you can look at anyone elses work and copy that down.... its not like you'd really give me the 10pts anyway even though i really really want it.
