Your listening to modern rap. Go back to the late 80's early 90's rap that INVENTED the genre. It was actually good. This rap includes Ice-T, Ice Cube, Will Smith, Snoop Dogg. After Tupac died, it's all gone wayyy downhill. I mean a song called "Do Your Chain Hang Low" (a ripoff of do your ears hang low) making money? Thats ******* sad.

I think that for the rappers, they don't think it will be annoying or that is their purpose all along, to annoy or provoke. Speaking for myself, I do know how hard it can be to write lyrics in a thoughtful way but I cannot say why they don't change their approach in writing.
