Nostradamus was a17th century clairvoyant and a soothsayer who saw and prophesied the world in deep turmoil especially in this 21 century--400 years into the future. He predicted the coming of the third world war anytime from 2007 to 2012. Who was he really?? A visionary with messages of doom from God or simply a messenger of Satan to deceive and lied to the world???What is your thoughts and opinions ????--especially to those of you who had read books about Nostradamus and still find it confusing about this man and his questionable prophesies and visions of the future.

Interesting isn't it? I read his predictions for 2012 and found it quite interesting that the Olympic Games will be held in London then... who knows what might happen then ... I certainly won't go there... just in case! I think he was probably a very clever man who really just understood human nature and predicted certain events according to this. I don't believe God would send a message of doom - God says in the Bible that we don't know the exact times and places when events will take place and we shouldn't say "oh I will do this tomorow, or that next year" because we cannot know what will happen. Humans have our own ideas and choices and God does not want us to be his puppets - he wants us to make our own choice if we decide to follow him or otherwise. You can't force someone to love you - it isn't true love then. Nostradamus (whether he used some magical gift or not) who knows... I guess we'll find out in 2012!

He was a valiant doctor during a serious plaque outbreak. Then he became an expert astrologer, but that doesn't make him a profit. For example he wrote something about a fire in the sky, so a history channel special shows the explosions on top of the world trade center. You could probably pick an event in your own personal life and find a Nostradamus quatrain that could fit it.

Neither. Michel de Notredame was a Jewish physician who converted to Christianity taking the name "Notredame" as his Christian name. It is French for "Our Lady," in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

When he wrote his quatrains he used the nom de plume (pseudonym): "Nostradamus," which is in Latin... You guessed it, "Notredame."

My best guess is that he wrote his quatrains for fun and profit as most authors do. They are so vaguely written that they came to be made to fit most any situation. Recall however that his great prediction for 1999 never did come true... "...in 1999 the great terror will come from the sky..."

Final note: Nostradamus was NOT a prophet; by definition a prophet is "one who speaks for God." He claimed by his quatrains to be a SEER. If you don't 'fit' his predictions to the event he actually has a ZERO success rate. I'm sure they were popular reading in his time and made him some money. Good for him!

Nostradamus never predicted anything before it happened, People look for prophesies that match current issues.
I personally don't believe that Satan exists.

I am as psychic as a person can get,I do believe I am.Mother was like that also. I could write a book myself. He was psychic.so what?I saw a large explosion in N.Y.C before 911, and told a lot of people I know about the vision, lots of people are psychic. like this.its not all that unusual. If you wont to get psychic, take the Silva mind control course they offer, and if Helen Hadsell still gives a course, take her course. Peace.

Neither. He was a man who wrote about his times in code. It would have been death for him to write about the royalty of his time, therefore he wrote it in a way that could only be understood by the people of his time.

He was neither. His so-called prophecies are quite vague, and all sorts of meanings can be read into them by anyone wishing to do so. There is nothing supernatural about what he wrote.

God allowed him to be the god of this international, yet he's likewise responsive to that he has a couple of minutes right here to get as many human beings down in hell with him. His message is to reveal from God. He no longer brings sturdy messages to the international. he's prideful, and had to be above God. each day he stands in heaven accusing us of doing incorrect to God. Jesus is status there also holding which ones are lined by the shed blood, and that our sins are not any extra.
