It may, but it doesn't need one. Some manufacturers will put a date on anything to see if you'll by another one in a few years. It is simply isopropyl alcohol. It will not change if left in the sealed bottle.

To add to previous answers 70% Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA) is an azeotrope with water. That is at 70% IPA/30% water, the mixture evaporates and the proportions of both compounds remain constant at 70/30 all the way to the bottom. IPA and water is pretty stable stuff, I would not expect any type of oxidation or decomposition.

You can buy 99% IPA. This IPA will “getter” moisture out of the air, and this action will happen faster once you open the bottle. However, even in a sealed bottle the IPA is pulling moisture out of the air. Often suppliers will put a production date, or use by date on the label.

This might be why you are getting conflicting answers to this question. What purity are you thinking about?

Have a bottle of IPA with the date of 9/2013, and wonder if it is still good?

yes it does. Somewhere on the bottle it should have it. If the bottle has been opened pay attn to the exp. date, because contact with air changes the chemistry...
