I had some parts missing on my car( a parts car ) . And i had the law to come out and i told them him what had happened and he took a report. I have really been upset for several days now. and today i went out to the garage and there was a card board box sitting in front of me. with all the parts that was missing in it. I had earlier went out and took these parts off and totally couldnt remember doing this. I have never been this absent minded before. It sounds funny but it really isnt.

Are you stressed!
I used to be well organized and all, remembering lil details...
Changes in job, lifestyle, house, location...., etc... made my life extremely stressful and busy.. Now I often find I forget simple things..
It is scary and it might make you feel you've lost it... but it happens... you could blank completely something that has happened or you have done..
Take it easy maybe......

Unless this is an enduring trend, I wouldn't worry about it. Things like this happen to everybody. You were distracted by something going on in your life and you simply forgot that in this instance, you had removed the parts. You were probably thinking about something else entirely while you did it, so you would not have integrated the experience from short term memory into long term memory, that's all.
