it is very effective. it teaches you how to control the ball, and makes it easier to dribble with either hand during a game. running while dribbling with two balls works very well also.

Yes, it is very helpful.
Be sure to keep your eyes up, move in zigzag patterns up and down the court, change hands often, and practice in all directions, even backwards.

practice with the ball on both feet and try and include a couple of tricks or just a instep to try and fool the opposing player but just keep practising practice makes perfect

Sure but you cant look at the balls. See if you can get those special goggles that prevent you from seeing downward. That is what our coach makes us do.

yes it is effective if you are doing it correctly.
keep your head up, even if you loose the ball. it takes practice...
always bend at your knees, not at your lower back...

I guess it could help you become more aware of your ball handling,etc.I don't think it's too important though.
