I'm looking for a pair of nice dark denim jeans that are quite flared at the bottom (not just bootcut) but still fitted around the bum and thighs. Cannot find a nice pair anywhere - all the shops just now only seem to have narrow leg jeans (which make like look gigantic) or bootcut jeans (and I'm looking for something a bit more flared). Can anyone suggest anywhere to try (shops or websites) ?

Any GAP store or GAP online... they have great flares, many colors of denim, and even "curvy" fit for those gals like me with a little junk in the trunk.

Good luck!!!

Well that's because TIGHT LEGGED JEANS are IN FASHION.

Try a THRIFT STORE or CONSIGNMENT SHOP (older, second hand clothes). In Minneapolis we have RAG STOCK ~ you can find anything there. And cheap too !! I get all my Halloween Costumes there ~ they have everything.

Also, you could try making (sewing) your own. Take a pair that fits you and slit the side seams (with a seam ripper) and insert either the same color denim, or lighter or darker denim or another fabric all together. These BELL-BOTTOM Jeans were all the RAVE in the 60's. I guess I kinda dated myself here, hunh?

Good luck. I've got some big bells in my closet that I keep just for posterity (in case I want to wear them sometime). So much for throwing away your old wardrobe. I never throw away anything (especially clothes).

Afflects Palace in Manchester, a shop in there has a brand called *Pop Boutique* (i think this could also be the name of the shop) you could try a search engine to see if they have a web site.
My husband is well into his 70's rock and always buys his flares from there, they sell extreme flare which are really tight around the bottom and thighs...mmm...lovely.
just found the site.

My favorite flared jeans are my Paige Premium Denim Lauren Canyon jeans. They've got a great, well proportioned flare on them, a pretty dark wash, and they look GREAT on my butt. I buy all of my jeans from Nordstrom and my other favorite brands are Seven for All Mankind and Citizens of Humanity. Check them out!

Nordstroms. They are expensive though, but the salespeople are very helpful.
Or, depending on your age, you could try Chicos or Talbots, which have jeans made for someone over the age of 15.
