ok, i have 2 gerbils, who are brother littermates, and they are *about* 12 weeks old, they've been having little quarrels lately that last about 5-10 seconds. I can't tell if they are play fighting, or actually fighting. I don't think they are biting each other, it's hard to see exactly what they are doing..... they've been living together they're whole lives- are they're other ways of telling whether or not it is a playfight??
(this happens once or twice a day)

My gerbils fought too, the black one (which became the bolder of both) continually fought at the same time with his pal, he used to even rigidity him on his back, this became many times over nutrition, the black one determined that he beloved the nutrition in my agouti ones mouth better than the nutrition in the bowl!!!! So what the black one became doing became protecting his nutrition, because the way they see it, they could imagine that they does no longer get anymore for a lengthy time period. My black gerbil extensively utilized to climb on the great of the agouti one, so I had to envision their sex too because he began to get fat!!! it truly is basically a dominance ingredient besides the undeniable fact that, so your gray one is "larger up" than the different one. My gerbils are 4 now and performance in no way inflicted any harm on one yet another, and after fights nonetheless used to snuggle as a lot as one yet another. (The agouti one passed away besides the undeniable fact that in February, he became getting previous and weak!!) i wish I helped you! no longer positive in case you mandatory 0.5 of that concepts, yet oh properly!!!

They're "teenagers" and they're working through dominance issues ... who gets to be Alpha Gerbil. You should probably split them up before they hurt each other.

They will be fine. This happens as they mature. to insure that they do not fight to hurt one another, keep female Gerbils away at all times.

you should get them in seperate cages now. they are having fights because they are both trying to stake territories and there will be no peace for them or you till they are apart.
this would happen naturally in the wild, their father would drive them from the nest when they reached sexual maturity and started trying to breed. in captivity, they will need to be housed seperately .
