Would really apprieciate a good reccommendation from someone, we are looking for an advisor who covers the whole market. Obviously we could look in yellow pages etc....but if anyone has dealt with a really good one would be very grateful for some help!

Exactly why do you think Mortgage Advisers work for free ?
Of course they don't = they get paid by the Mortgage Companies when they 'sell' you a product (this is known as Commission).
20 years ago Mortgage Companies paid more Commission when the Adviser sold an Endowment policy (and less when they sold a Repayment Mortgage) ... can you guess what happened ?
SO - do you really what to put your yourself in the hands of a Salesman who is Paid by the Mortgage Companies ?
I suggest you need to do your own research ... I suggest start with Fool & move on to Charcol.
