how flexible is a carbon fibre rod and is it the case that a carbon fibre rod will always want to return to its original straightness? what i mean is if a carbon fibre rod is bent will it need to be held in place firmly ie. using a very strong glue or could it be fixed using only the weakest of methods like masking tape?

entiendo?

Assuming that the rod was once straight, try turning the tackle box so that the arc of the rod is pointing away from the water.
It will either straighten out or break.

I wouldn't trust glue , it's bound to snap again if you hook a good fish - just get one of e-Bay - they're really cheap.
