High school alternatives?

hello,
i am doing a discussion with my class about high school alternatives and was wondering what you thought about the good or bad reasons of getting a GED as a high school alternative

I personally agree with getting a GED if necessary, only if every other possiblity has been deemed useless. A good resource as an alternative is homeschooling. I think that public school is to closeminded and uniform. Not everyone learns by the same means and it's not acceptable that schools only teach in one method (our way or no way).
