NO -- and the males were not sterile -- they had vasectomies and that operation is NOT 100% effective -- so obviously someone there is NOT shooting blanks!

Nope! Humans have 46 chromosomes, and chimps have 48. If a human sperm cell were to attempt to fertilize a chimp egg cell, the chromosomes would be unable to pair up evenly, so pregnancy wouldn't occur.

Why do you want to impregnate a chimp ? Like everyone else is saying theres a big diff twixt chimps and peoplez.

Probably not, but hair-samples should be collected from the zoo-staff as well as the vasectomized male chimps.
