Who are we fooling, if Barack Obama runs for president and is nominated, then he's going to be shot by someone.

I see no reason that Obama would be a target for assassination. At this time in his career, he is as poorly prepared to be President as Jesse Jackson was and is. The Democratic Party would be crazy to nominate him now for the race; his record is blank and he does not appear to be very thick-skinned. Frankly, if the Republican candidate for Senator in Illinois had not been Alan Keyes, a Marylander who moved there so somebody would run against Obama, he might very well have lost (although I am sure he could count on the corrupt Chicago Democrats to get him by).

I think that, he should run for president. Because America is a growing nation. It's a great idea. However, it might not happen because probably before a black person comes to office their will be a white WOMAN in office.

Maybe Obama will be as wise as Dubya and pick a VP as insurance. Nothing protects our current president from harm better than the knowledge Cheney is next in line.

After their egregious treatment of Condoleezza Rice, Colin Powell, Lt. Governor Steele of MD, Clarence Thomas and other prominent blacks, I don't think Democrats will accept a black president.

I think the perfect way for Obama to ensure he won't be assassinated is to pick Condi Rice as his VP running mate. Of course, that's also the way he can guarantee being elected...
