Hmmm...that's a smart toddler who found that option. Go to Start>Control Panel>Display>Settings and slide the screen resolution bar to the right until it looks right again.

Oh, and undo your font changes or it will be unreadable once you change it back.

Could be a number of reasons.

Start with this.

Right click the desktop, then choose 'Properties'.
Now select the 'Settings' Tab.
Look for the 'Screen resolution' area. There should be a slider. Move this right a little (try moving it until you reach 1024 by 768 pixels) then click 'Apply'.

If that doesn't look like its done anything (or did a bit but not enough) move the slider right bit by bit, and that will resize the screen.

Get back if this doesn't seem to work there are a few ways to make things 'big' in windows! Good luck

It sounds like your toddler may have changed the display properties. If you right-click anywhere on the desktop (not on an icon) and go to properties, a window should open up. In this window, there are a few tabs on the top, one should say 'settings'. If you click on this there should be an option for 'screen resolution'. You can slide it to less (left), which makes everything large, or more (right), which should make everything smaller.

Hope this helps.

You can download ccleaner for free here: http://bit.ly/1Bk5V5C

First open CCleaner
Go to the Cleaner tab and you will be confronted by a very confusing lineup of checkboxes.
To make this brief, below is my recommended setup:
Under internet explorer check temporary internet files, cookies, and last download location. Most users don't really need this stuff. keep history and bookmarks unchecked, history is a maybe, but you don't want to lose bookmarked sites. You can normally leave Windows Explorer, System, and Advanced alone.
Run CCleaner and it will start deleting files.
afterward it will present you with a list of the files deleted, you really don't need to go through it as it will be several pages long.
The registry cleaner is recommended for slightly more advanced users. Use it after uninstalling programs as they will often leave behind incorrect registry entries.
If you decide to run Registry cleaner then review the items detected and always back up the registry (I keep a folder aside for this)
The Tools tab lets you uninstall programs and set startup programs. Why do you need this if Windows has all of these features? Especially with Vista Home Ed. The windows defender software explorer( startup programs) doesn't pick up some entries (however software explorer is easier to use).
Using CCleaner to uninstall programs and then check for leftover registry entries takes less time.
Under Options you can determine how CCleaner cleans your files. I leave this alone.

If you PC works like mine, I think your lil'rascal just changed the zoom level at the bottom right-hand corner; that goes from 50% to 400%.

Honestly, I think you should keep a toddler well away from the computer; I am a mother too and a primary school teacher and I KNOW that our modern kids suffer terribly from being brought up with an umbilical cord linked to TV or PC; they NEED natural, stimulation and, yes, give him a cardboard box and a pen and he'll re-build the world, especially if you sit down with him and encourage him.

Could your "toddler" have messed with the screen resolution setting? (Right click on the screen, select Properties, then check out the rightmost tab, which is labeled "Settings".) But this doesn't *sound* like something a *toddler* would be able to find...

Choose System Restore from the Help & Support screen. Choose a date earlier than when your toddler messed with things.

Close everything and with just your desktop Icons showing, right click on the screen, then click on 'properties', then click on 'settings', then move the screen resolution arrow one click to the right. This will make everything smaller on your monitor's screen.

Right cliick on the desktop and go to properties, then settings. Move the slider bar up one notch at a time and see if it looks better. Yours is probably set at 640x480 or 800x600.
