"a greek goddess cereal box for social studies"? What is this?
I am only answering to say, in case you haven't known already, that the world for cereal in greek is "Δημητριακά" (thimitriaka/=of Demeter, the goddess of agriculture in greek mythology, as opposed to Ceres, that type of goddess in roman mythology -http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cereal). So, saying, for example, "Hestian cereal" would be a contradiction, wouldn't it?
By the way, Hestia in Roman Latin is named Vesta. Vestnuts rhyme with chestnuts.

Well... It's a little disrespectful, but the Gods have senses of humor.
Here's a little to get you started.
Hestia is first and last in the order of things in Hellenic religion traditionally all offerings, libations, etc. are offered to her first before the others, and then again at the end. She is also one of the three Parthos or virgins (though it doesn't translate exactly) of Greek myth and the Goddess of the home hearth, where bread is baked. She also symbolized the connection between new settlements and their home city. Fire from the hearth would be brought from the official hearth to the new city. The symbology of this is significant. Those who share a hearth are generally family. Since they shared the hearth fire, although each took it to their own hearth, they were also taking this sort of familial tie.

In chosing a name, I'd focus on the hearth and the idea of families gathering around it to prepare food. Also, the first and last angle could be brought in with the idea that you eat breakfast first and, I don't know about you, but cereal is also my late night snack.

Although, you know, Demeter would be more appropriate for cereal.
