I'm 30 years old and I still have friends that act the same way.
Just laugh it off and be friends with the kid. I am sure he does things to make you laugh and you enjoy his company, so just be friends with him and don't worry about all that other stuff.
Ask if you can come along the next time his dad takes a private jet somewhere.

It's possible he's telling the truth--after all, he didn't say his dad owned one, just rented one. It's highly doubtful that he's renting it personally, but rather that the company he works for does, and for groups of people, not just for him.
If it's true, though, the fact that the dad talked about how much such things cost means the dad thought it was a really big deal, not some everyday thing to take for granted. The kid did exaggerate or misunderstand the cost, though.

He's definitely bragging. You will find as you get older, that usually the people who talk so much about having money are usually the ones who don't really have or are socially insecure. Much like the sex thing...most of the time, if that's all someone talks about (how many people they have "seen" how many times) they are usually the ones not getting any.

This kid's dad's COMPANY probably rents the jet for $10,000.00 an hour. There is a difference.

He probably has a self esteem problem and thinks if he sounds more important that people will think more of him. So he was bragging and lying.

He's probably lying.....if his parents were that rich believe me he wouldn't be attending public school.
Either that or his parents do all of that stuff and are deeply in debt

He is bragging, but since I do not know him I cannot say whether or not he is being truthful.

I did not understand most of what you said. Good luck trying to explain it to your parents who are probably worried sick about your diction.
