double-double is when you get 10 or more in any category
for example 10 points and 10 rebounds would be a double-double
a triple double is the same thing but in 3 categories
fro example 10 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists...

a double-double is when a player registers double figures in any 2 offensive or defensive category. triple double occurs when a player registers double figures in 3 offensive or defensive categories. there's also the rare quadruple double. 10 pt. 10 reb. 10 assists, 10 blocks.
