If your cycle is usually 30 days, then your ovulation day would be on day 15, and it would be the same unless your period lasts 38 days from now on, where you would ovulate on day 17.... if you become irregular you need to take an average. You ovulate right in the middle of the period.

There's really no way to tell just by doing the math. The time between ovulation and menstruation tends to be about the same every month, but the time between your last period and ovulation can vary more. With the introduction of meds into your system, who knows? I agree with the person who suggested ovulation predictor tests. You can get them at drugstores. They're a little expensive, though. Also, do a little research online about sympto-thermal indicators of the onset of fertility. Once you learn to listen to your body, it really helps you figure out where you are in your cycle.

My cycles were never regular. They ranged from 35-42 days. The thing that worked for me was to get an ovulation predictor kit. You pee on it and it tells you when you are ovulating (similar to a preg test). I thought I was ovulating much earlier than I actually was. I got preg the first month I did the OPK with each of my two kids. I purchased them from testsforless.com . Some kits come with a preg test. I think you can also buy them at drug stores.
Good luck!

i'm so sorry on your loss. i desire you get your next blessing quickly! you may't count number and properly anticipate ovulation. The 14 day concern is 14 days after the starting up of your era and 14 days earlier the starting up of your next era, once you've a suitable 28 day cycle with ovulation right smack dab interior the middle. regrettably, no longer all females artwork that way. Ovulation calculators are way off for me too, because I have a shorter than time-honored luteal section (ovulation to era). So, even regardless of the reality that my cyle is say 25 days lengthy, i'll't count number 14 days lower back because it truly is incorrect--it would want to have me ovulating way before than I do. also, compared to what maximum females have stated the following, your luteal section can variety. Mine does. that isn't any longer problem-free, yet mine has been everywhere between 9 and thirteen days, shown with bbt charting. It somewhat varies between woman to woman, and no rule is suited to all and diverse. maximum individuals do in basic terms not understand it because they have "regularly occurring" cycles. yet, once you're charting your bbt and using o.ok., you should were in a position to pinpoint ovulation. were you in a position to apply them to make certain once you ovulate? EWCM is a robust concern to music, yet can start up as early as 5 days earlier you ovulate. I in many cases have it from about 4 days earlier ovulation, and then it dries up both the day of ovulation or the day after. yet, it truly is diverse for each woman too. the perfect concern to do in case you do not understand once you ovulate is to have sex the different day on your total cycle. then you definately will be confident to hit your fertile time (considering sperm can stay some days). yet, once you're bbt charting and by no ability seeing ovulation on your chart, then you definately are not any further ovulating. that is almost foolproof in case you do it properly. good success to you and attempt to you should save sex relaxing and stay helpful.

Even more precise than any equation I may be able to provide, there are ovulation kits at the pharmacy. These are much more effective than any other method. Take care! :)
