I have an air exchanger in my house. How often should it actually run throughout the day?

My exchanger has a 24 hr timer on it. How often should it acutally run through out the day. I have it set now to run a couple times a day for 1/2 at a time. Is that enough?

That depends on how many people live in your house, the level of activity, and whether anyone smokes. Also, if you burn candles, you should definitely run it more often...there are oils and chemicals in the candle wax aromatics as well as the fact that the wicks constantly emit "smoke" (and some wicks actually contain lead).

All in all, I would say you probably need to run it more often (maybe every 4-6 hours), and shortening the length of time to 15 minutes each time should do fine.
