well, you could get a ps3 then if you preorder when they come out.
wiis are coming into stock all the time but being sold out in munites still by march they should be easy to get. the ps3 however will be like gold dust but if you pre order you should get one.
depends what sort of console you are after.

If you want the Nintendo wii and don't want a Playstation 3 or XBOX 360 then get it it also works with Nintendo GameCube I think.

No way! By March you have to get PS3! There are so many good games coming out for it in March, it would be a waste getting the Wii.

Wow, my birthday is the 29th! =) Mariah Carrey's b-day is also the 27th. And yeah, your birthday is a great time to get it but remember, the Wii might not be in stores or might be sold out when you try to get it. Good luck though!

Anytime is a good time to get a Wii. Nintendo hasn't had any problems with their system.

No. Spring for now, when there aren't as many good Wii exclusive games, or you'll regret it later. You could just ask for it as an extremely early present, explaining the current game situation.
