of course not. he is losing ground as our president and creating a cloud over his party as long as anything goes wrong anywhere, much less American soldiers dying. the only people glad to see soldiers die are liberals. they operate under the pathetic stance that when the republicans look bad, they look good.

Bush is not like you and me. He is somewhere up there looking down and we are like ants, microbes even. If he had a problem with murdering people he wouldn't have gone to war in the first place. Do you think Stalin cared? Hitler? Julius Ceaser? Alexander the Great? Do you think they lost any sleep?

Bush cares about his legacy, his family name, making money and being as powerful as possible. Perhaps he cares about his friends making a few bucks too. And his ranch, he likes it there.

The death and mayhem in Iraq? He doesn't give a ...

I am a liberal who usually voted Demcrat. Howver, I do not think the President wants to be in Iraq at this point. It would be absurd to even suggest he enjoys the horrendous death toll. I do believe that he does not know how to leave the situation. Too many speeches have been made equating leaving with defeat. I believe he has fallen prey to hi own rhetoric and would prefer the next President to pull the troops out or even for this Congress to "force" the US to pull out.

I think establishing a military presence in Iraq and Afghanistan is going to position us for a war against Iran.

yes i think that bush wants to stay in Iraq because he needs to finish his mission! If he doesn't finish the war, he would look like a failure.

If he did not want to stay in Iraq, he would not stay in Iraq. In fact NO ONE who didn't WANT to stay in Iraq would be there now.

ENJOYS it. No, I don't know that he "enjoys" it. I can say with certainty though, that he doesn't think about it all that much. It's fairly inconsequential to him.
