Desmond Llewelyn was the gadget guru "Q" in James Bond films from 1963–1999, and John Cleese was "Q" solely in the 2002 film Die Another Day, there was no "Q" in Casino Royale.

IF they bring back "Q" at all, who do you think should take the role? I don't think Cleese is returning even if they wanted him because he's taking an acting break...so who else would be good? I'd think either Hugh Laurie, Rowan Atkinson, Kelsey Grammer or David Hyde Pierce.

I think Sylvester McCoy would be wonderful in the role.. He was the 7th Doctor on Doctor Who, so he has that 'wizard' quality and he is very good and playing all boisterous... PLUS it would be fun to hear him roll his 'R's with his Scottish accent when he is explaining something to Bond.

Yes, it will. Not as Die Another Day though. The movie looks appealing and exciting. I hope it's not too cheesy. In the US it will probably cross the $100 million mark. Die Another Day and the previous Bond film The World is Not Enough are the most successful Bond films in the US ever, and they only? grossed $160 and $126 million, respectively. The real market is the rest of the world, in which Bond movies are still very popular. Even the Timothy Dalton movies grossed over $100 million Overseas. Outside the US the last two Bonds made about $100 million more than they did in the US (Die Another Day $271 million, The World is Not Enough $225 million) . So Casino Royale will probably edge over the $200 million mark in the rest of the world. The actor playing Bond is important. Peirce Brosnan was born for the part, though I found his Bond movies horrible. Timothy Dalton's Bond movies laked pizazz. They were very 80's and not in a good way- dirty and raw- while Lethal Weapon and Die Hard which came out in the late 80's changed the action genre. The next Bond with Daniel Craig, who is a good and suprising choice for the role, will probably do better than Casino Royale.
