I have recently completed my bachelor degree. After I have discussion with my teachers. I am going to study master degree. I want to learn something about changing people or human behaviour, so I can change and improve my mother’s and father’s attitude toward me and how they communicate with me. I want to change their behaviours so they can say something nice to me. Should I study psychology? or humanity? These two are similar.

I don't think counselling will work or help my situation. We were busy during the day. They think there is no need to see counselling. I don't think the counsellor will not be able to help. My parent won't like the counsellor to say anything they did was wrong. They think it is wasting money to see a counsellor. Sometime I don't like to hear they say. My friends’ parent could say something nice to him and me. I like his mother’s gentle manner, but I cannot swap our parents.

There is only one person you can change in this world, and that person is YOU!
You can't change others (they change only if they want to). You can just change the way they react by changing yourself first.
Studying human psychology is very useful no matter what you'll do in the future. But if you only want to study it because you want to change your parents, then that's a real waste of time!
Why don't you study something you really like? You can study human psychology by yourself, not only in a specialized environment.

There is a school of thought in Psychology called behavior modification, but that is a very slippery slope when used in real life situations. You should never practice psychology on any one you are close too. If the only reason you want to study is too change your parents behavior, you're going into it for the wrong reasons. Perhaps you should try family counseling rather than taking matters into your own hands. No ethical therapist would ever try to counsel their own family.

I would study social anthropology, a field that includes cultural mores, psychology an oh so much more. I'm not aware that there is a field that is just called "humanity.' It is very important what University you choose and what profs you have for the study of anthropology. Some are much more respected and credible than others. Go to your local library and ask for the large books that evaluate universities. Make a comparison. Then, you'll know what to do.

Whether you go into psychology or humanity, you can't change anyone's behavior. Forcing someone to change their behavior is called manipulation....and it's not a good trait. I'm not trying to be rude....but psychology will help you understand other's behaviors...not change them. And humanity doesn't include manipulation either. Even if they are in the wrong, the only people who can change them is them. You should choose an occupation based on what makes you happy in life, and what your goals are, not on how people treat you. I hope this helps enlighten you some.

you can study until you are blue in the face, but you will still not have control over your parents, only over your self and how you react to them, that is what you might look at doing.

I would suggest studying ballistic weapons. You can't change people, prisons can't change people and nothing can change your experience with your family.
