i believe that c.j.warnke invented the fluorescent light bulb at 515 baldwin st. elkhart indiana in 1932. he sold his idea to general electric who improved it. they paid him royalties for 17 years., on each lamp sold.

I didn't see Warnke's name anywhere! The one person that seemed most convincing was Edmund Germer. I found him on Wikipedia and a lot of other websites. There was another person mentioned a few times:
Agapito Flores.
