get a scientific calculator... hit the "2nd" button then hit "cos"... then type 1 BINGO.. i learned this last year but i think thats how to do it, becuase u multiply each side by -1 first. Or most math books have a chart at the end of the book... try looking for that.. one of those ii ix pages or w/e.

where n is an odd number: +- 1, 3, 5...

x = (2n+1)pi (n belongs to all intergers)
