In Halo (the first one) Sargent Johnson can be killed, and normally dies like 5 times throughout the game. Then, he's at the end of it hugging an elite when Halo blows up. Then, to top that off, he's in Halo 2 all the way through, and will definetely be in Halo 3! What's up with that?

In halo 2, right in the beginning of the game when sargent comes out of the elevator and tells Master Chief to get on board...right after the dude regenerates Master Cheif to get the full Armor. The "dude" asked Johnson how he got out there alive but they dont ever explain it...Probably the ending of Halo 1 (what johnson knows -because he was the only 1 there alive) and the ending of Halo2 (what cortana knows -when she was talking to that green swamp monster) they most likely are gonna merge both endings together by showing clips of the "past". Thats my Assumption.

Well I guess they thought Johnson should be there when the MC recieves his award in the beginning of Halo 2. Besides, they might be planning his iminant doom in Halo 3 :P

if he couldn't die in the game then it would look ridiculous seeing him shot at 100 times and not even wincing at the bullets. It's just a mistake out of the hundreds that there are in the game (superbouncing, double-shooting, getting out of levels) but he's too much of a main character to die and not come back. Then again, you can die all you want and still beat the game...

you have to read the book... i forgot it's title but it's by eric nylund... it tells about how johnson is able to escape

you should read his latest called Ghost of Onyx
