I think that I think too much and have anxiety because, sometimes, for hours at a time, all I'll think about is, "Uh oh, does my hair look okay? Am I fat? Are people staring at me and thinking EWW? What are people thinking about me?" It just nevre stops. Do I have a problem or something?

I'm going to say that yes, your age does have something to do with it. I don't know if boys are the same way, but I seem to recall that being a teenage girl and seeing all these magazines, movies, television shows, etc. with these perfect, gorgeous, excessively THIN women (mostly airbrushed, but they don't ever mention that) didn't help. Also, I think most teenagers believe that people are looking at them and actually care. It's very liberating to get into your 20's and realize that NOBODY IS LOOKING AT YOU (well, unless you're dressed up like a pirate in public or something...that's look-worthy).

In short, you don't have a problem. You're behaving like a normal teenage girl. Do your best to keep those thoughts under control, though. There are much better things to do with your time than worry about if people are looking at you or not.

The answer to why is because. Be the cause. You can have the answer. That's why.

Think. Don't think too much. Just think. Control your mind and supplement your fears in order to free yourself of anxiety. Don't worry about self-appearance. Personality and confidence is appealing. Don't worry about what other people think about you, worry about your thoughts and keeping them from harming you. It stops when you sacrifice your thoughts over to your higher intellectual standings and beliefs of love and awareness. You don't have a problem, it's called human life:)

It's just because you're a teenager, and we're naturally self-concious beings. Hopefully you won't think about it as much in a few years, but yeah, everyone always thinks about that stuff. You have no problems. No problems that we can determine from your question, anyway.

Think how nice that would be. The sad truth is, very few people are paying attention to any of us much at all.
