I think that a good gift for anyone is a mixed CD of special songs that are near and dear to you. If you are married or committed I would reccomend the book by Dr. Chapman "The 5 Love Languages" it changed my life.

I've got a great gift idea to make!
Go to Michaels (or a hobby store), get a picture frame, decorate it. Then, put a photo of you and (whoever you give the gift to) inside the frame.
I love hand made gifts.
