I agree with the troop surge and the new plan. Only because I believe we need to give it a chance to work. Why be against something that could possibly change the situation over there. I'm just gonna wait a couple of months and see if this troop surge brings in positive results. If it doesn't, then for the first time since the war started, I will accept the fact that we have been defeated. But to be honest with you, I'm sure if every American had to choose between us taking the war to them, or them bringing the war to us. Which option do you think it would be?

Yes, if used properly.
The added troops will not take us to the peak number we had there during the elections.
We have already had this many people over there so I'm not sure about it being an escalation.
My concern is that we don't treat this like other problems, throw money at it, in this case people. Without a comprehensive plan for victory, the extra troops are targets. With a decisive plan, they are American fighting men, the best in the world.

Kathy059 pretty much said it the best. The American people over generations have "dumbed down" and as it has been said "those who forget history...are doomed to repeat it."
The American public became overly involved during the Vietnam War with President Johnson being more worried about re-election and public opinion. Lets face facts....unpopular votes don't result in officials being re-elected.
However, what many tend to do is base their opinions on what OTHERS say instead of forming their own thoughts based upon research and different sources of information. The media can be very biased and as such many believe what they see on television.
Likewise, many say that Bush is "this or that...with an IQ lower than so and so..." but it's interesting to see that he has degrees from not just one but TWO major Ivy League colleges along with several other attributes.
In my own humble opinion, I watched with devestation where over 2,000 Americans lost their lives in less than an hour. Imagine terrorists attacking our country again! Instead our President decided to take the fight to the terrorists! Smart move...keep em outta here!!!

NO. He needs to send 200,000. If we were to pull out, Iraq would fall into civil war. Some say that they already have, but its just secretarian violence between a small percentage of each party. But if we were to pull out the country would implode. The the liberal pansies would talk about us causing civil war and that we shouldnt have pulled out, once again being hypocrites. the only way to solve this problem is to send in more troops, more tanks, more jets.... we need to start giving the suicide bombers a bit of their own medicine. we should start sending them camels with bombs in their stomaches. Next target on the list: Iran. they are the ones supporting these terrorist with the money.

Yes I agree. Pulling our troops out now is not a good solution. Not that I am saying sending more troops is a very good idea. Try to be in the Iraqis shoes for a moment, think about their suffering. Of course they gonna choose for US and other allies troops to pull out for a quick fix to the insurgent to stop the killing, the bombing. As a Christian (this is my opinion) I know somebody out there will answer me differently but I don't care. We have an obligations and a duty to support the wick. Not all of them hate us, our policy etc. They are all afraid just imagine you live your life by fear. You cannot do this and say this... you put your life in danger if you do..it is a very scary situations. We have to give the Iraqis hope Muslim and christian Iraqis they need our support. Helping and sacrifices for somebody has no boundaries that is called LOVE. It requires patience. Patience never runs out. God bless our Troops for sacrificing themselves to save others. God Bless America!

To be honest with you I dont think George is sending 20,000 troops to finish the war in Iraq. We all know the plan for those troops, attack Iran, cause more instability in that region. That's why he attacked the Iranian consulate in Iraq violating all diplomatic rules and regulations. I dont really think this guy and his advisers know what they are doing. That particular move has proved him the most stupid and uncivilized leader in the world, a disgrace to America. This guy is blood thirsty, why bomb Somalia? All America need to do is to get out of Iraq.

Many leaders interior the protection rigidity community agree that greater soilders must be present day to income administration. I variety of seem at it like staffing my workplace. If i'm understaffed, my human beings would be too busy "purely getting by using" than be waiting to coach the hot hires (interior the Iraq case, prepare the Iraqi protection rigidity). So, I do accept as true with this technique, inspite of the reality that it potential 2 of my brothers are being deployed to Iraq. we are there to hold wish to thousands and thousands of people who've in no way popular freedom. i think of of it like for the period of typhoon Katrina. what variety of human beings could we be if we purely left human beings sitting on there roofs in New Orleans and did not deliver help? purely the comparable, we could not stand by using and permit the human beings of Iraq proceed of their suffering. genuine, we can't be everywhere interior the worldwide, yet we ought to do the perfect with the wealth with which God has bless us.

No I do not agree with the decision. That amount of troops will not effect anything, except get more of them killed.
They tell us to support Bush's plan if we support the troops! That is rediculous, the only true support is saving their lives by bringing them home from an unjust and immoral war.
We now know the pre-war intellegence was false. The Bush administration also knew it was false before we even invaded Iraq. The very reason that they (Scooter Libby/Karl Rove) outed a CIA officer is proof positive, they were trying to shut up the CIA officers husband Joe Wilson who had proof that Saddam did not purchase WMD items the Whitehouse claimed they had.
They wanted this war so bad, they committed treason. That is insane! Insane they are still in charge with security clearance and insane that no one is being tried and hung for treason.

Ah, you watched CNN... bad boy! They don't let you think for yourself on that station... liberal wieners!
Anyway, my boyfriend will be going over there in April, and even though I don't want him over there, I agree with Bush. You've got to know that he knows more about what he is doing than some nosy reporter with a biased view point and a want for ratings.
Bush knows what he is doing... and Congress has to have the OK on this, too, so it ain't just him.
Good question!

yup! I am not saying that I want my husband to be deployed to Iraq again... However, if that is what it takes to satisfactorily complete this mission... I am all for it!
My husband was in Iraq for over a year helping to defend the Iraqi people, and from his experiences there, more soldiers are needed!
Those American's on the ground, and in charge, are the ones that know specifics! Since you don't know what is going on - BECAUSE MY GUESS IS YOU HAVEN'T BEEN THERE - then why don't we listen to those who know what is happening, and what the game plan is!
