The best way to clean out your browsing history and also the history from other applications like windows media player is to use ccleaner

It also does a very good job of freeing up space on your HDD

Or, Tools, Options, then Click all the individual buttons
A simpler way is to delete your Browser and reinstall, that normally clears the Reg too.
