When I attempt to schedule a disk check via windows, I get the message that the scan will be completed during the next boot of the computer. The disk check utility comes up upon reboot, states a check has been scheduled, and begins the countdown to the start of the scan. However, once the countdown reaches zero, the screen displays a message stating that the disk check has been canceled and the Disk Check is exited. Could the solution to this problem be a simple change in the computer registry? Any other possible solutions?

Hey Dude,

There is a "press any key to cancel the scan" feature. Make sure you do not press any key. Your keyboard may have a stuck key, or it is leaning on something. Unplug the keyboard during reboot.
