We were in Cuba last Easter and had Typhoid and Hepatitis A before we went, best to have yourself covered by both of these injections to be safe, they don't hurt and have no side effects except for a bit of an aching arm for a few hours after, you don't have to have these injections by law, we just prefer to play safe, your doctor and the pharmacist at Asda can tell you all about them and advise you.

If there is a Cuban Embassy in your country, call them and contact the consul general - he/she should be able to tell you the vaccination reqirements. Or, you could contact the Ministry of Tourism in Havana for the same information. You could also go online to the website of the World Health Organization to see what diseases are common in Cuba and what vaccinations they recommend.

Cuba is a tropical country with a lot of poverty, so disease is a reality down there. You don't want to mess around with bogus herbal remidies here - you want to get the real stuff, vaccine from a medical doctor (unless you want to spend some quality time in the intensive care ward of a Cuban hospital)!

my husband is Cuban and we are planning a trip later this year. We are definitely getting our kids vaccinated for Hepatitis as this is something very common on the island. I will be checking with my doctor as well to see if there are any other vaccinations that one would need to travel to a country such as Cuba. I suggest you do the same.

no herbal remedies for these i'm afraid....its best to have the jabs..check here for the ones required and recommended then go see your doctor/nurse.

I tend to use the NHS or MASTA for vaccination info. The NHS is free but doesn't give as much detail as MASTA.
