I mean, YES, I am rich and I have everything I need. But my parents give like 10% of their money away! And I'm not materialistic, I'm just like everybody else. And yes, I shop at abercrombie, but it's not for the brand but because I like it.
It's just our life style and how we were born. We can't do anything about it! And just because you're a prep, doesn't make you spoiled or selfish.

RIGHT?!

It's who you are on the inside that counts. I grew up the same way and am now raising my son that way too.
Good for your parents for teaching you some smarts!

You aren't born rich, your actually born with nothing. When you die you have nothing, you can't take it with you. So we are all equal, some are just more fortunate than others. Some work harder than others, some have more luck than others. Relationships and who you socialize with all play a part in the game of life. We all have favourite products and stores to shop at.
There are a lot of people of the higher influential status that are not spoiled or snobbish, and who support multiple social causes in their contry of origin and third world con tries.
In the end you are right.

right, i come from a fairly wealthy family but i am not prep. i am rather funky. BUT people only notice if you have a child like behavior. I dont go flaunting all the nice things I have. I give back to the community. I shop at walmart as well as CHANEL. its all a mindset. if you have a humble personality, people will respect you more

Everything! Having money has nothing to do with being a prep because I have money and I am surely NOT a prep!

You mean your parents are rich and you are dependent on them.

Where you shop and what you buy is your business.

Your attitude is your business.

But should you ever speak or say anything to anyone to whom you feel is "lesser" than you based solely on your perception of them as "lesser" then that becomes other peoples business and be careful as many "lesser" people pack one hell of a punch!
