What will it be since they traded Stephen Jackson, All Harrington, and Sarunas Jasekevicious for Troy Murphy, Mike Dunleavy Jr., Ike Diogu, and Keith McLeod

Im thinking
C Jeff Foster
PF. Jermain O'neal
SF Mike Dunleavy
SG Danny Granger
PG Jamaal Tinsley

Im not sure about the SG because granger really doesnt play that position but he is about all we have to fill it?

What do you think about the Pacers trade?
I think it is a good trade b/c any thing that gets rid of Stephen Jackson and gets young talent is good by me

I wouldn't fill Mike Dunleavy Jr. in that lineup just yet. Even though he's in Indiana, he could still get traded, possibly to the Clippers, where his father is the head coach. Granger could entrench himself as the SF and Marques Daniels at SG, with Murphy at C since Foster is best suited playing on the bench. With the possibility of Maggette coming, the lineup could change at some point, but I think this is a good trade after all, since they stole Ike Diogu from GS (I still think he can pan out in the near future; he was consider to be the centerpiece in the Ron Artest trade but GS nix that deal).

Us freaks are thinking about the line-up, too. I'm thinking TMurph gets the start, alongside Jermaine and Granger in the frontcourt, with Jeff coming off the bench (or, if Jeff does start, his minutes will be lessened, and he won't be in down the stretch). Troy's offense is about the only thing Indiana actually gains out of this. Dunleavy's solid, but not worth the money. Diogu is...interesting....

You're right that the Pacers weakpoint now seems to be SG, but Daniels should be given a shot at the position. If Marquis doesn't get the nod, Dunleavy and Danny can team it, as either can play the swingman. McLeod, when healthy, backs up Jamaal at the point.

I'm thinking the same thing, but they will put Granger at SF, and try out Marquis Daniels at SG. He has had a decent carrer overall, and who knows, he might turn out to be the next Jermaine O'Neal. Bad off the bench, amazing as a starter. I am a big Pacers fan, and I still, for the h*ll of me, not figure out why they did that trade. They got 3 former 1st round draft picks, but Murphy is bad and injured every day, and Dunleavy just plain sucks. The only good player is Diogu, and he is still fairly unproven. In return, they gave up a great SG, a great Forward, a great 3pt. and FT shooter, and a bench guy. Ignoring the bench players, they got 3 average-bad players, for 3 good-great players. What a bad trade!

Your lineup is possible, but I think it might be

C - Troy Murphy
PF- Jermaine O'Neal
SF- Mike Dunleavy
SG- Marquis Daniels
PG- Jamaal Tinsley

Granger as the 6th man or starting at SF and bumping Dunleavy down to SG if Daniels struggles
