is it better to wash your face with cold or hot water and why??

I think it's better to wash w/ hot water to open the pores and get the most oil and dirt off, but then you need to close your pores after you wash by using cold water.

actually luke-warm water is best. Cold water is just unpleasant and hot water can really cause your skin to dry out. And usually face washes say to rinse with warm water

i always wash my face with warm to hot water and then whenever i have all the soap rinsed off my face then i wipe it off with cold water to close my pores before i put on make-up or anything else that might clog your pores.
