One has to wonder what exactly are you so proud of:
1. Slavery and it's legacy today?
2. A bloody war fought, no matter how much you may deny it, to keep slavery intact...that you lost?
3. Jim Crow...are you proud of that?
4. Lowest standards of education and living in the entire nation?
5. Pervasive racism even today?
6. the true religion of the South: NASCAR?
7. the old religion of the South: blind, rabid Christiano-fascism?
8. Hee Haw?
9. the Dukes of Hazzard?
10. the South has always supported such brilliant leadership as Nathaniel Bedford Forrest(founder of the KKK), George Wallace (Mr. Just-Say-No-To-Desegregation), and George Bush("I can't even spell Constitution, much less follow it."): are you proud of this?

It would seem that the more wrong some people are, the more proud they become.

Yes and no.

Where you're born is an accident of fate. But given a choice between north and south? South all the way.

I've often said that New York, Baltimore, Chicago, Boston and Detroit are excellent arguments in favor of thermonuclear war.

And if you really know history, you recognize Abe Lincoln as America's Joe Stalin. Responsible for more death and destruction on the North American continent than any president in history.

Don't you know if you are proud of it or not, because that's what your grammar is communicating.
I'm glad I was raised in the deep south, but if you are implying that we shouldn't better ourselves and help others along the way, you are seriously misguided.
I never slept with my sister or cousin.
I got a college degree.
I know and like people of other races.
I look for the good in people, and am disappointed if it isn't found, even in you.
And I'm from Houston, Texas, and have lived in almost every state in the South. Yee, Haaaa!
Get rid of your anger, and better yourself. Best of luck.

Um not really? I'm from MO but we live right in the middle anyway. And you'd better take down that Confederate flag before you offend someone. But I'm proud to be from STL? Cardinals all the way!!

I am Southern and I'm proud. However, I don't think that you have to offend others to be a proud Southerner.

All my people are all great Christians.who I am glad to have learned from.I have never heard one word of disrespect towards anyone coming from them.
My grand father Ballew about feed his town he lived near during the great depression,He grew crops. He got his flatbed truck with fruits and vegetables and drove around giving out baskets of it to the town folk.even though he could have used that money he could have received from the sale of his crops as he had seven children. founded a church.till the day he died there were many anonymous gifts laid at his door at Christmas time.

He told me of his beloved Uncle who lost his leg, to a Yankee bullet. with a few tears in his eyes, because it ruined his life to have lost that leg and have to sell all his land.and all.so I fly the Southern flag of the second American revolution after hearing some story's about the suffering and all during and after that war of Northern aggression.I have a large collection of things from that time. and honour them with respect.

God Bless the people of the South.and these fine United States of America. and May God Bless You Sir.

Ow by the way, I am never proud, I am glad, in the bible it says not no to be proud. but glad
.so yes I am very glad to be a Southerner,

and one more little thing
I think its time we left the Union again and make it Damn well stick this time.

Ya, that is a gut thing alright. You have the flag and everyting. What you gonna do next? I am proud and very proud of you, too. But when will you fight? When will you take steps to enforce your will on others? I am worried that you will just drink lager and fish until you lose the will for fighting. you have the means now is the time to strike!

Yes, proud of being a gentile southerner, not a "Deliverance" southerner...the Union Jack is a little off-putting...
