There are 3 different tire sizes available for the Sunfire in 2001.

P195/70R14 90S
P195/65R15 89S
P205/55R16 89H

Obviously the 14-inch tire will be the cheapest, the 16-inch not so much but these three sizes are in the top 5 in terms of the most popular sizes on the market out of the current 1,740 recognized tire sizes!

In other words. There are literally hundreds of different tires available in all of these sizes from cheap round things that hold air to very sophisticated, highly engineered masterpieces and everything in between. Buying tires is like buying anything else. Determine what your needs are;

Do you live where it snows?
Do you put a lot of miles on or not so many?
How long will you have the car?
What can you afford?

Once you have figured out all that, make a few phone calls to local tire stores - or better yet visit in person - and get some quotes. Get a Good/Better/Best quote from each, then pick from among those the tires that best suit your needs and the store you most want to earn your business and remember, the lowest price is not necessarily the best "deal".

It depends on what you want.
Do you want perforamce tires, do you just want the cheapest tires out there, do you want snow tires, do you want slicks, do you want off road tires, do you want balloon tires, or low profile tires, do you want used tires, do you want high milage tires, do you want low milage tires, do you want a quality tire, do you want a tire and innertube?

Heres the answer to your question:
Tires for a 2001 sunfire are between $5.00 and $3000.00.
