It's a slang term used to refer to movies that girls will like a great deal more than guys will. And it's "chick flick", not "chick flick movie"--- "flick" means "movie". =)

A chick flick is a movie that would appeal to your more sensitive side...it may be a tearjerker or a happily ever after girl gets guy story line. It normally won't be violent, scary, or vulgar.
