My friends was advised by her doctor to go for amniocentesis test, during her pregnancy but she did not go for it bcos it was risky for the baby. Now the baby is born already 2 years but she has doubts that if he is normal. He is 100% normal in growth but he is extra active.he is also very stubborn. He bumps his head on walls when he wants his wish to be fulfilled. This concerns her a lot and she is scared if he is abnormal. Please advise

If your friend is taking her child to the pediatricians office on a regular basis and the doctor hasn't said anything then I'm sure he's fine physically. He sounds like a typical 2 yr old that likes to have his way and is spoiled; therefore, throwing a tantrum when he doesn't get his way.
Toddlers are active, he needs an outlet for this everyday - a run in the park, a walk around the mall, etc. etc. Kids need to engage in physical activity to help release this energy. Toddlers can also be very stubborn and it's up to the parents to take CONTROL of their child and put an end to this behavior or else you deal with the head banging and the tantrums.
If your friend needs help ask her to speak to the pediatrician about this activity and I am sure they will have plenty of recommendations to help her out.

Most doctors recommend it, if you fall in certain catergories.Like over 35 years of age or even bi-racial babies,or if you have disabled family members, smoke, drugs or other medical issues. Basically if their is a chance for you to pass this on to your baby.
But,he is two years old now and he was born healthly.I would not worry about it now. Besides bumping his head, does he not stand still when your talking to him, like focus in on you or feel the need to throw things. If so these are signs of other issues that you need to follow up on to his doctor and need immediate attention.Well, good luck and hope you find my information of some help.

there is criteria for what a baby should be doing at a certain age.. go to
www.parents.com
also, does the pediatrician have any concerns??
developmentally delayed children will not be talking as good, walking as good, feeding themselves, playing with other kids... etc...
most kids are stubborn that is actually a good thing in the long run... my son beats his head on the wall too...
kids are going to be active... thats how kids are... it is abnormal to have a child that is well behaved all the time!!!

Tell her "Welcome to the terrible two's" normal two year old children throw fits all day long(my daughter who is 2 1/2 will throw herself around kick and scream and bang her head on the floor is she doesn't get what she wants) It is just a normal part of growing.

But if she still has concerns at her next well child check bring it up with the doctor.

It sounds taht could be some issues but an amniocentisis teat would have not picked this up. If your friend is really concerend she shold try explaining her concerns to her health visitor or doctor. My brother use to bang his head on the door and was also hyperactive, he is a normal person and has grown up to be a sensible young man.

I would say he's just going through the terrible two's stage, but, if the child does have a medical problem, it is best to have it diagnosed and start treatments straight away. By ignoring what could be wrong is not going to make it better. For the child's health and safety, have him checked out. He probably is just a little over-active.

I were given my era decrease back at about 16 months placed up partum -- about 2 months after weaning toddler from the breast. in case you at the instantaneous are not breastfeeding, you'll likely get your era in a million-2 months. if you're breastfeeding, that's broadly variable. The 'popular' is about 9 months, yet some females will start up lower back interior 2-3 months, and others not until eventually toddler is totally weaned.

She can take him to a developmental pediatrician. This is a specialized field over just your basic pediatrician. They do a thorough evaluation of the child for any learning disabilities or delays. They can also come up with a plan of action if he needs help.

My little sister used to do that! She would slam her head back when sitting on the floor, or when on a persons lap, now she is 14 and normal....very smart in fact. I agree with the post above- terrible twos!
