I think the exact statement was that IF the united states was attacked with nuclear weapons by fundamentalist muslims (he was referring to iran) that the response should be to bomb Mecca.

If you think strong national defense and closing the southern borders make sense then yes he would make a good candidate. I live in Colorado, I campaigned for Tom Tancredo. He is a man of integrity, he says what he means he is no John Edwards type of politician. Sometimes his language is harsh, he did say after 9-11 that we should bomb Muslim holy sites, with which I agreed whole heartedly. He can be abrasive but thats something fresh, I'm tired of political doublespeak, say what ya feel. Unfortunately I don't think the man has a chance, but I will still actively campaign for him.

You're right the statement was "if...then..."

If he is the same Congressman from Colorado who suggested nuking all Muslim holy sites then no.

He's against a guest worker program. I think, if done right, that it would work.

Aside from that, he's a true conservative - reducing governement.
