Im doing a research paper on doppelgangers. If you had to kill one, for example, your doppelganger is going around killing people. HOW would you kill it or make it stop or dissapear?

Some say that you can kill it and or make it disappear by having strong self confidence.
Psychologists say that it is from lack of confidence.
In mythology, it is said that it's a ghostly double of yourself causing trouble and gives you misleading and malicious advices.
That'll be very annoying.
In some country it is said that if you kill the doppelganger you would die too. To make it disappear, I think it had something to do with using mirrors.
Some say to just chop the head off and burn it.
There's many different stories about it so I don't know what to say, since I don't know which one's true.

A doppelganger Is somebody who looks like you, most people have NO idea what they are. Everyone has at least one doppelganger. Most people call them doubles. It's not a ghost, or some mythical demon. Doppelganger is a German word and it literally means Double.

I depends, if you believe that a doppelganger is a physical double of yourself then in theory you could kill it as you would any other living person. But if you believe in the folklore, seeing your doppelganger is a bad omen and you are going to die anyway. Thus it cannot be killed.

You risk killing yourself at the same time. That's the sticky bit about doppelgangers.

Depends on if it has powers and I need to kill it a certain way. If that is not the case, I would shot her as she sleeps.
There is a very good, older movie (early 80's maybe) you might like. It is called The Changling

My understanding of doppleganger is just my double. It is a person somewhere in the world who looks exactly like me. However, they are not my identical twin, so we wouldn't share DNA or fingerprints. If I were aware of anyone, doppleganger or not, who was going around killing people, I would alert the police and other appropriate authorities.

Simple. I'd make her live with my family, work my job, and deal with my debt and bills. Eventually, she'd end up killing herself. :)

make it see you but not itself in the mirror, then it would think it somehow got where it came from again and try to walk to your side, which through the mirror would actually be their side again & then they'd be trapped.
