A couple weeks ago, I had a bruise on my right lower calf, because someone had bumped into me and scraped their shoe really hard on my leg. The bruise is now gone, but when I run my finger over where it used to be, there is a lump. It's not sticking out of my leg. What is it? Should I check with the doctor when I go next week (even though I'm going for a totally different reason)?

You might as well show it to your doctor if you're going in anyway. I had something similar. I have had a lump in my calf muscle for decades because of a slight injury to the area as a child. It has never been a problem, and doctors have said it's not harmful. You may have the same type of thing, but it's worth asking about so that you don't have to worry if the lump sticks around.
