The camera must be as lightweight as possible (ideally tube shaped) WITHOUT housing, and that can be used for diving, or even mounted on a neoprene helmet (or strapped to an arm) for other activities in and out of the water to give a 1st person perpective. Please help!!!

The video camera must be able to record into something that could be either in the camera or somewhere else on my body as I plan on using this for diving/swimming etc

You'll be hard pressed to find one without spending thousands of dollars. Here's one with housing that would probably have mounting brackets...maybe a good place to start.

what do you mean by using under water, in basic terms to apply once you're swimming, or do you mean which you scuba dive, for swimming you ought to use any digital camera underwater all you're able to desire to do is get a housing, the two the Zip lock form or a plastic housing, they vary from $50 up as you're no longer likely to get a lot deeper than 20 feet in line with risk alittle extra. for Diving you opt for a housing rated to a minimum of 30 feet over the optimal intensity you plan to dive at. AOW can dive to 30m (39in to metre) so which you opt for a housing for no less than 40m that starts to get costly. there's a organisation referred to as sea and surf, that have somewhat priced cameras/camcorder housings. stable good fortune If its Diving then provide me a digital mail i will do my maximum suitable to help you out. There are the fishing cameras that come on the end of a wire if you can use that. They are improacticle for most uses you will proably have but for $100- $200 and the right conditions you might be able to use these.
