Or maybe she has to yell because YOU are wasting tax money by not taking advantage of your education.

a) Well, I pay tax dollars - and I think it's fine if she spends time yelling at you. If you don't learn anything, you can flip burgers for the rest of your life. But if she can teach you how to behave in public in a civilized manner, I'm all for it. You've obviously given up on English grammar, spelling and punctuation anyway.

b) No. There are people all over the world to get to eat ONCE a day. Has anybody passed out from starvation yet because of her actions? If not, I'm sure you made it through the next three hours until school is out.

c) Stop complaining. Do your work. Pay attention. LEARN.

Maybe a little bit, but nobody makes optimal use of their time all the time. I taught community college one semester (didn't stick with it because I couldn't afford to live on what they paid), and I only yelled at a student once, but when I did I _really_ let him have it. If I'd yelled a little more, maybe I would have known how to handle it better by the time this one guy pissed me off.

If a teacher yells at you, YOU'RE the one wasting your mommy & daddy's tax money cause you were screwing around instead of paying attention. Quit your whining and pay attention. Only one person should be talking in class at a time and unless your teacher recognizes you for a question/answer...SHUT UP AND PAY ATTENTION TO THE TEACHER. That is YOUR job!

Nope, that's her job. It won't hurt you to go without a meal, and while your stomach is growling you can think about how if you had behaved in class you could be eating your lunch instead of having to stay behind. It's her job to "cililize" you and to teach you to follow standart rules so that you can function adequately after you are out of school. Like it or not, it will help you in every aspect of your life. Believe me.

No, not if you deserve to be yelled at.
And no, not if you still have time to eat.
