Because of restrictions on downloading software on a laptop I've been given as a teacher I can't download iTunes. Have tried Doppler etc but find this complicated - use of RSS feeds (?)

Need an alternative as straight forward as iTunes - ie click on the podcasts you want and they get downloaded when they're available.

You don't need to download another media player.

You can use your existing Media players if you want e.g. Windows Media player. If you prefer to use other programs like Windows Media Player, you need software to “aggregate” your podcasts. Some players don’t automatically go grab the new episodes of the podcasts you subscribe to. That’s where the aggregator comes in. You add the podcast to the aggregator, and the aggregator updates and makes sure it shows up in the player.

I would recommend Juice. Found here: http://juicereceiver.sourceforge.net/index.php

If you really want to use another media player you could use any of the following:
