I think Robert Downey Jr. is a pretty good choice, Iron Man in the comics is a recovering addict, so is Downey. As for Paltrow, she never did anything for me.

No big deal to me... I only care about a good fit for Tony (which I think Robert will deliver on) and having a solid story (ie good plot and characterization, instead of just focusing on gratuituous FX eye candy and action)
