...They don`t, of course. They just feel pulling out of Iraq immediately will "seal the deal" on making Bush look like a failure, their obsession. What do you think ?

I think you hit the nail right on the head. Liberals and Dems are invested in America looking bad particularly in Iraq. They are bankrupt of any real ideas so they hope the Iraq situation fails so they can elect a liberal Dem in 2008. Without this scenario they really have no chance.

Has it escaped your notice that a growing number of conservative Republican voices are joining the Democrats in calling for NO surge!? Staunch supporters of everything Bush does like George Will and William F. Buckley (the founding editor of "The National Review" have all abandoned Pres. Bush's war policy.

I think that your mind is made up and you'd rather not be confused with facts.

I think that you're not terribly interested in actual answers unless they agree with your point of view.

I think that you're baiting liberals and hoping conservatives will chime in here with a chorus of "me too"s.

I also think that the majority of those who want us to pull out of this war do so for a multitude of reasons. At the top of the list is that the death of our troops is unecessary, unproductive and ill-advised. But there's also the fact that our being there is antagonizing people that we'd be better to try to get along with. And the fact that our military is getting weaker and less prepared against the possibility that someone may attack us on our own soil.

I think they geniunely are offended by the dearth of moral reasons why we are in Iraq in the first place. They care that people over there are dying, obviously in a situation with groups, chances are that not everyone in the entirety of the party's intentions are pure. MOST people who are Democrats feel repulsed that we have been in Iraq for nearly 4 years and that the causualty numbers now compare to that of 9/11.

There's always morons in every majority.

I don't understand why they think that pulling everyone out immediately will solve everything. If you put it in terms of something we understand, think about a fight. If 2 people are boxing, and one contender gets hurt badly, is still standing but not fighting back and sort of cowers, will the other contender not take advantage of this and attack with all his might?

I think that pulling out of Iraq as a swift move would be, to be put bluntly, stupid. If we do, they will see it as weakness, and then they can attack us even easier.

They have no other solution either. All they want is to be proved right even when they are wrong. All their moaning about more troops being sent to the Gulf too. What does that say to the Troops that are out there.
Hey Boys and Girls! The Lily Livered Dems don't care less about us. I think that is classed as treason. The Dems are all the same. All mouth and no follow through

I agree. What I want to know is... if they don't like the solution that Bush has come up with, why don't they have a solution of their own? I would love to hear what "should" be done if what we're doing is so wrong.

I think you're incorrect, for the most part, and foolish for answering your own question.

Also, can you provide trustworthy statistics to back up your statement that our troops are mostly Republican?

I have no clue why they do that. I agree with you that they're just trying to make Bush look like a failure.
