It's incomprehensable in my opinion. It's like listening to dogs barking on and on and on.

i like rap music cuz it actually has a beat! I like other msic too but in my opinion i like rap the best!!

IMO Rap is no longer the cutting edge, its on the wane in both popularity and critical respect as we're slowly catching on to how repetative and un-innovative it is.
Rap is what rock and roll used to be and needs to be again, just having a good time and at the same time, possessing lyrics that make you feel and think. Rock is far too emotionally oriented now and it alienates the audience. All it is, is a downer.
Rock has been on the decline since the late 70s and at this time has reached dismal proportions. However music is always changing and we can expect that in a few years a new force will emerge.

I think it's great that there is a wide variety of music to satisfy everyone's tastes. I love all types of music. I listen to a wide variey of music. I like rap music if it's good. Not all songs are good. Not all songs of any one type of genre or by any one artist are always going to be great. Music is a lifestyle and a personal choice. It reflects on who you are as a person and sometimes on even where you grew up. Cultural diversity. I am glad that we are all different b/c it makes everything interesting.

Same reason people used to listen to rock n roll, it's a form of rebellion. Kids think it's cool to listen to rap music, cuz the parents don't like it, same as it used to be for rock. Rock is better, but nobody will convince them that it is. Shoot, even the rappers sample rock songs, so even they know it's better.

You got a point but people like to know they can find the beat. Rap's beat is soooo easy to find. Also, it sounds cool. I listen to rap a little bit but I can't stand it in large amounts

The beats and the 'poetry' side of it. The way the rappers tell their stories. I like rap music.

for the same reason that anyone likes any music because it makes them feel good or the lyrics hit close to home or something of the sort i know i love Eminem but the only reason i like him is because he raps about **** that happens everyday not just how good his g/f is at f***ing like alot of rappers

I have no idea, i think rap is horrible; the people just swear for the sake of swearing most of the time.

i agree. 92 percent of american teams like rap. its not music, its words with a beat. evry used 2 hate it, but now they all love it. i think its cuz teens like dancing 2 it
