Me and my husband have had the problem of someone calling and harrassing us and calling and hanging up alot here lately. It is a girl, and we have contacted our phone provider and the police, and they said their was nothing they could do since they were BLOCKING there number before they call. No number shows up on our caller i.d, and we can't star 69 it because they block it, and we have had our number changed once already. and suggestions for me?? because i don't want to have to change our number again. thank you

The phone company certainly has a record of this phone call, and there is no question that they can tell from which number the call was placed, blocking or no blocking.

You need to escalate your complaint. I would threaten to cancel my land line and tell them I am buying a cell phone (they hate that).

The REAL question here is; how did this person get your number the second time? If you tell the phone company that you're getting harassing phone calls they have to provide you with an unlisted number. If someone is still getting through it's someone with a lot of access to you and your husband.

I would try what goldstcy suggested first, if all you want to do is stop the calls. If you have caller id, you can block calls that come in as blocked.

If you want to find out who's doing it, I would go with dendryte8's suggestion.

Sorry to be unoriginal, but those are very good suggestions.

There has to be a way to trace that phone call. If you've had your number changed once, how did they get it a second time? I've had that happen to me before. But I dealt with it another way. I talked to them for a little bit, then threatened to kick some @ss. I never had to change my number.

You might be able to block all calls coming into your home, that does not show a number.

You can ask your phone company if they have Privacy Director (they will explain what this is if they have it) or change it to an UNLISTED number, and be watchful to who you give your number out to..

Call blocker.
Blocks all calls that don't display their number.
The call gets a recording....calls will not be accepted without displaying your calling number.

Well she must be attracted to you since you are beautiful and your husband may be good looking too. Why not invite her for dinner?
