My son and I are looking for some games for our PS2 that we can play together (either head-to-head or in cooperation toward a common goal). PS1 games are fine too as we can play them on the same console.

It seems like all of the newer games are 1-player or they are not interesting.

Some of our favorite games from the past: Battletoads, Joust, Putter Golf, Sonic, Hot Shots Golf and Micro Maniacs...

We don't like car racing games, fighting games or any of the major league sports games. I know that precludes about 90% of the 2-player games available, but I'm hoping that some of you can make some suggestions.

Thanks

Lego Star wars - Both games in the series are fun and have great video segments

Tony Hawk skateboarding - any of the series are great

Need for speed hot pursuit - the boys love being the cops.

Heroes of the pacific - fun flying game of WWII aircraft - easy to control - good tutorial in there.

Gran Turismo 4 is sweet - racing interest seems to me they released an Acarade %. of video games from the '80s and before '90s, although can't undergo in ideas in the experience that they released it on PS2 or no longer, even though it got here out before this 3 hundred and sixty 5 days.

my daughters and I love to play dancing games. These are the 2 player games we play:

Dance Dance Revolution (any version) - you can play this with the dance mats or the controller.

Bust a groove - this game may be harder to find but you battle by dancing head to head.

we also play the old namco museum games because some of those are 2 players.

get crash bash for PS1. I bought it a long time ago and i still love it. it's one of those games you love to hate because it's really fun, but some of the modes can get frustrating because they are so chalenging.

I also think DDR is a good choice- if your son is willing to dance. you can usually find good deals on amazon for a game and 2 pads. I got DDRMax2 and 2 mats for only $70 that's a good deal if you ask me!
